Thank you for your interest in the Manitoba FASD Coalition. Membership is open to all Manitobans with an interest in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. The coalition will facilitate representation from across the province through the use of technology. Anyone may attend a coalition meeting however, only voting members may participate in making decisions. There are no membership fees and a number of ways to become involved such as, volunteering for a committee; attending member meetings, which are held 4 times per year; join a Regional Coalition; follow us on Facebook; attend our Information Series Workshops which are held 6 times per year by web-conference.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Board of Directors – Consider volunteering your time and expertise as a director on the MFCI Board
Regional FASD Coalitions – become involved in your local FASD Coalition, contact the MFCI office for details
Committees – Communications; Conference/Event planning; Information Series; Looking After Each Other Gathering Planning; Research.
Occasional Volunteering – special projects; public promotion; grant writing; social media posts; government relations; assistance at annual events; coordination of fundraising activities; French translation.
The benefits of volunteerism are many, you will gain confidence, learn new skills, meet new people, give back to your community and learn about FASD, just to name a few. Consider volunteering with the Manitoba FASD Coalition.
